Pico, one of the leading VR headset manufacturers, will be stopping production of the Pico G2 4K line of headsets in Q1 of 2023. The 3DoF VR headset has been a cornerstone of Pico’s line of Enterprise devices since May 2019.
How do you ensure you will receive stock?
This is the last call to claim your stock for the Pico G2 4K and Pico G2 4K Enterprise. Secure them now by contacting us via email: sales@vr-expert.com or by calling us on +31 30 711 6183. We recommend this as there is limited stock of the Pico G2 4K and G2 4K Enterprise available from VR Expert, which won’t last long so it is recommended to order early or get in contact with our team to secure your headsets.
What does end of life mean for you?
When the Pico G2 4K line of headsets goes end of life, the headset will not stop working. The headsets will continue to function without issues including your custom applications, however, production of the headsets will stop and Pico will no longer provide technical support, software updates and security updates.
For users who would like to continue using the headsets, this is possible and you can continue to develop it. With the most recent Pico G2 4K SDK available via VR Expert. Regarding support for the SDK, it is recommended to get in contact with Pico directly for answers on this.
