Vuzix announces that the M400 and M4000 smart glasses now support Microsoft Teams. The company will host a Webinar on March 4 in which the new functionality will be demonstrated live.
Vuzix MS Teams Update
The Vuzix line includes two of the most popular AR smart glasses at the moment, the M400 and the M4000. The addition of Microsoft Teams allows Vuzix to serve a larger share of the business market. Exactly which MS Teams functions (such as calling multiple persons) will become available will likely be announced during the webinar.
Vuzix Blade Microsoft Teams
The press release does not mention the Vuzix Blade Upgraded indicating that this headset will not support MS Teams. This while the headset has the necessary features and can also be used with another communication tool; Webex. Perhaps the company will focus on the most popular models first and support for the Blade will follow later.
Launch update
Vuzix’s competitor RealWear has been offering support for MS Teams for some time, so this update from Vuzix comes as no surprise. It is still unclear when the Vuzix M400 and Vuzix M4000 will get the upgrade. The upcoming webinar seems to indicate that support is not far off.
