Park Solution brings compact VR attractions into museums
Park Solution combines proprietary software, immersive content, motion systems and sensory effects to create VR attractions for museums and entertainment venues. VR Expert supports Park Solution by providing reliable access to PICO headsets, commercial terms suited to project-based needs and direct delivery, while Park Solution retains full control over device integration, configuration, software and content.
Park Solution brings compact VR attractions into museums
With VR Expert as its hardware supply partner, Park Solution can focus on custom software development, immersive content, design and installation while maintaining reliable access to professional VR headsets.
Park Solution develops immersive attractions that combine virtual reality, motion and sensory effects.
Consistent access to hardware through VR Expert helps the company deliver compact VR installations for museums and other venues while keeping software development, device preparation and technical integration in-house.
Immersive experiences designed around each project
Park Solution operates in the immersive attractions and location-based entertainment sector, developing solutions that combine virtual reality, motion, custom content and multisensory effects.
The company uses different VR technologies and hardware platforms depending on the characteristics of each project, the type of experience and the needs of the venue.
As standalone headsets have evolved, VR applications have become increasingly suitable for professional installations, making it possible to create compact, flexible immersive attractions that can be adapted to different environments.
Today, Park Solution’s portfolio includes 4D cinemas, simulators, immersive tunnels, dark rides and several VR attraction formats.
The company also has an extensive content library and develops custom productions, adapting each experience to the venue, audience and attraction concept.
Applying 4D expertise to virtual reality
Park Solution’s know-how in multisensory attractions is also an important part of its VR installations.
In traditional immersive systems, visual content is combined with platform motion, surround sound and effects such as wind, air blasts, vibration, lighting, aromas and smoke.
In headset-based VR attractions, Park Solution selects the most suitable effects to enhance immersion while also taking the characteristics and protection of the hardware into account.
Some effects, such as those involving water, are excluded from VR configurations to avoid risks to the headsets.
The technical concept is therefore not simply about putting a headset on the visitor.
Motion, physical effects and purpose-built content are synchronized to create a complete experience.
Depending on the project, visitors may experience the attraction seated in a compact VR theatre or use standing stations that allow them to look around and explore the virtual environment freely.
Why museums are an interesting market for VR
Park Solution works with different types of venues, including theme parks, family entertainment centres and cultural and educational institutions.
In recent years, museums have become a particularly interesting application for VR technologies.
Virtual reality can create a strong sense of scale and presence without requiring large projection halls or particularly complex physical scenery.
This makes the technology particularly suitable for venues that want to offer visitors a memorable experience within a relatively small footprint.
Park Solution generally develops compact VR theatres, often with configurations of up to around 12 seats.
The size mainly depends on the characteristics of the project, the space available and the number of devices required for each installation.
Museum experiences, which are generally shorter than the high-throughput attractions typically found in theme parks, also fit the characteristics of current VR headsets particularly well.
One of the museum installations discussed during the interview uses eight headsets across two seated systems, alongside several standing VR stations.
Visitors can access experiences based on themes such as the Moon, deserts and pyramids.
Another installation, located in the Milan area, integrates a VR cinema within a space of approximately three by three metres.
The custom content simulates a flight above the waterfalls at the real-world venue, creating a direct connection between the virtual experience and the physical location.
Managing the hardware
Park Solution develops its applications in-house and manages headset configuration directly.
The company therefore does not need an external partner to prepare or manage the software layer.
It does, however, need consistent device availability, predictable delivery times and commercial terms that support project-based purchasing.
When direct purchasing from the headset manufacturer was no longer available, Park Solution looked for a reliable supplier that could keep the hardware procurement process simple.
The goal was not to outsource technical control, but simply to secure the devices needed for each project and have them delivered directly to Park Solution for integration.
A straightforward, focused relationship with VR Expert
Park Solution has sourced VR hardware through VR Expert for approximately three years.
VR Expert supplies and ships the headsets directly to Park Solution, where the technical team installs proprietary software, configures the devices and completes all the work required to integrate them into the different attractions.
The current hardware mix includes PICO G3+ devices and PICO Neo-series models used for different types of experiences.
As of the July 2026 interview, Park Solution had purchased 70 headsets through VR Expert since the beginning of the year.
The relationship is deliberately straightforward.
VR Expert handles hardware availability, commercial terms and delivery.
Park Solution, in turn, retains full control over software, content, integration and on-site installation for the end customer.
This clear division of responsibilities avoids duplicated work and allows both companies to focus on their respective areas of expertise.
Results
- A reliable procurement route for PICO headsets used in public-facing VR installations.
- 70 headsets supplied in 2026 as of 28 July, supporting Park Solution’s active project pipeline.
- Direct delivery of devices to Park Solution, enabling the technical team to configure each headset independently with proprietary software and content.
- A flexible hardware base for compact VR theatres, standing stations and other immersive attraction formats.
- A clear separation of responsibilities: VR Expert handles hardware supply, while Park Solution manages software, content, integration and experience design.
Building the next generation of venue-based VR experiences
Park Solution continues to update its content library and evaluate new hardware platforms, including next-generation standalone devices.
Museums represent an important opportunity for virtual reality because they can transform a relatively small space into a completely different experience: a flight, a journey through space, the exploration of a historical environment or any other experience developed around the venue’s concept.
For Park Solution, the value of the relationship with VR Expert is primarily practical.
Being able to purchase and receive the required hardware without disrupting its technical workflow allows the team to focus on what visitors actually experience: the content, motion, effects and sense of presence within the attraction.
