Founded 152 years ago, the RWTH Aachen University is one of the most renowned universities in the STEM subjects and has been a university of excellence since 2007. Currently, more than 47,000 students study at RWTH Aachen: 13,354 of them are international students from 138 countries, who are taught by more than 550 professors.
The “MediaLab Lehramt” at RWTH Aachen University is known for its innovative research in the field of teacher training using the latest technologies such as virtual reality. The MediaLab Lehramt develops sustainable concepts to integrate the reflective use of digital media into teacher training and explores, among other things, the possibilities of how VR can improve teaching and the teaching environment, but also teacher training.
Another VR project is hosted by the RWTH’s LTI Lab. “Rendering Pipeline eXperience in VR” aims to familiarise students with computer graphics in VR and to use learning analytics to observe, analyse and support learning processes.
