VRevolution prepares to bring VR learning to more Greek schools with VR Expert
VRevolution is expanding its travelling education programme with 35 PICO G3+ headsets and carrying and charging cases from VR Expert. The equipment forms a second working set, giving the Thessaloniki-based team the capacity to visit two schools per day. School use of the new set is planned to begin in November.

Making memorable lessons accessible across Greece
Designed by George Rallakis, who has more than 20 years of experience in adult education, VRevolution brings virtual reality into schools across Greece. Now in its fifth year of school visits, the programme aims to show students and teachers that education can be engaging, enjoyable and memorable.
The idea began with a personal motivation. As a parent, George wanted his daughter to experience educational moments that would otherwise be out of reach. That ambition developed into a school programme combining immersive films with discussion and traditional classroom activities.
Its educational programmes cover subjects including ancient Athens, ancient Olympia, space exploration and marine life. Alongside school visits, VRevolution offers teacher seminars and works with municipalities to widen access to VR education.
A VR cinema that comes to the school
For each visit, the team turns a room at the school into a VR cinema. Classes attend one at a time, watching a film lasting around 12 to 14 minutes before taking part in a live discussion with a presenter or teacher. The film provides a shared experience that the educator can build on during the rest of the session.
VRevolution adapts the programme to different age groups, from kindergarten through secondary school. A film about sea creatures, for example, becomes the starting point for different lessons:
- For children aged 5 to 9, the discussion covers endangered species, the importance of whales to healthy seas and ways to keep the seaside clean. Each child receives a drawing activity to complete in class.
- For students aged 10 to 16, the same film supports discussion of climate change, the role of oceans in regulating the climate and endangered species.
Teachers receive a lesson plan with further activities and information, allowing them to continue exploring the subject after the visiting team has left.
A second equipment set to support expansion
To reach more schools, VRevolution needed equipment that suited its established cinema format and could travel with the team. It purchased 35 PICO G3+ headsets, together with carrying and charging cases, from VR Expert.
George chose the headsets for their suitability for VR cinema and ease of use. The standalone PICO G3+ has 256 GB of storage for content and an adjustable silicone strap that can be cleaned between users. The cases support the practical transport and charging needs of a programme that moves between schools.
With this second working set, VRevolution is preparing to run visits at two schools on the same day. This increases its delivery capacity without requiring schools to purchase their own headsets for the visit.
Advice focused on the programme
For George, the purchasing experience mattered as much as the equipment. He valued VR Expert’s willingness to work with VRevolution’s requirements, without pushing devices the team did not want. The support helped him select an appropriate setup, and assistance has continued after the purchase.
“VR Expert was and still is very helpful. We had every help we needed in selecting what was appropriate for us, and after sales they are always there helping for everything we may ask.”

Preparing for the November rollout
At the time of the interview, the new equipment had not yet been used in schools. George reported positive initial feedback from people who had tried it, describing it as a significant improvement over the previous equipment. Feedback from school sessions with the new set will follow its planned introduction in November.
If the expansion goes as planned, VRevolution intends to add more equipment sets, introduce new films and visit more schools. Longer-term ambitions include producing its own films and developing further ways to engage students in learning.
The partnership with VR Expert supports that next stage with a second set of equipment and ongoing assistance. For VRevolution, the goal remains to bring a memorable teaching experience to every school in Greece.
