XALTER and VR Expert deploy XR training across 15 schools

The main challenge was not the XR content itself. It was the operational rollout behind it.

XALTER needed approximately 50 to 75 PICO 4 Ultra Enterprise headsets deployed across 15 schools within a short timeframe. The deployment window was estimated at around two to four weeks, with devices needing to reach different locations across the country.

This created several logistical requirements. The PICO 4 Ultra Enterprise headsets had to be sourced, prepared, organized per school, and delivered on time. Device quantities could also vary per location, which made the rollout more complex than a standard single-site delivery.

For a focused XR company like XALTER, managing this internally would have taken time away from the core program. Handling hardware procurement, device preparation, shipment coordination, and multi-location delivery would have added a significant operational burden.

As Kevin Anderson from XALTER explained during the project discussion, managing this type of rollout internally would have been difficult for their team and could have slowed the program down.

VR Expert supported XALTER as the hardware and logistics partner for the deployment.

The role was practical and execution-focused: help source the required headsets, prepare the devices, and coordinate deployment across the school network. This allowed XALTER to keep the program moving without having to build a full logistics operation around the rollout.

For school-based XR programs, this step is critical. A headset rollout is not only about shipping boxes. Devices need to arrive at the right location, in the right quantity, and ready to support the planned implementation timeline.
