The headset features a sharp display, advanced hand tracking and a large library of content alongside PC-VR compatibility. It is ideally suited for interactive training, onboarding and simulations.
The Meta Quest 2 128GB VR headset has the following key advantages:
Powerful processing power
First, the Meta Quest 2 runs on the industry-standard Snapdragon XR2 Chip, an upgrade from the Snapdragon 835 originally found in the Quest 1. The Upgraded XR2 has better processing power and power management than the 835 allowing the Quest 2 to achieve more than its predecessor. The XR2 chipset in combination with the 6GB of RAM found on the headset allows for the Meta Quest 2 to run highly demanding applications while still running smoothly.
High-resolution display
Second, the Meta Quest 2 has a 1832 x 1920 Pixel Per Eye Display allowing you to experience high-quality visuals. The Quest 2 has an impressive refresh rate of 90 – 120 Hz. The high refresh rate with its high resolution display gives the Quest 2 a very strong VR experiences compared to others in its category. The Quest 2 VR Headset has video passthrough thanks to four inbuilt cameras, allowing you to switch between your physical and virtual worlds enhancing the potential use cases of the headset.
High-quality tracking
Third, the Meta Quest 2 has Built-in Inside-Out Tracking capabilities through 4 infrared tracking cameras located on the front of the headset. The tracking cameras by Meta are known to be the most accurate and smooth, which allows for more effective and natural interactions to take place in the immersive experience. Along with the standard tracking for controllers, the Quest 2 has built-in Hand tracking. This means the device can be fully controlled and navigated without the need for controllers. The built-in hand tracking is a great solution to make applications and experiences more natural to the users.
Works as a PC-VR headset
Finally, the Meta Quest 2 is capable of being used as a PC-VR headset either through a wired connection or wireless streaming. This enables the headset to be used with SteamVR providing access to thousands of different VR titles and access to more demanding games and applications thanks to the PC’s higher performance power.
