The HTC VIVE Wrist Tracker is an accessory designed to enhance the inside out tracking available on the HTC VIVE XR Elite & HTC VIVE Focus 3 including enhancing Hand Tracking replacing the need for Controllers. The Hand Tracker can be worn on the user’s wrist or attached to real-world objects to improve the Tracking on HTC VIVE Standalone Headsets.
The HTC VIVE Wrist Tracker enhances the hand tracking on HTC Headsets through LEDs sensors in the tracker which work with the headset to improve tracking accuracy. This replaces the need for controllers enhancing the applications & use cases of HTC VIVE Headsets, especially in interactive or mixed reality functions. The VIVE Wrist Tracker is 85% Smaller and 50% Lighter than the VIVE Focus Controllers making a more comfortable & realistic experience enhancing immersion.
The HTC VIVE Wrist Tracker uses the same tracking system as the VIVE Controllers to make them easy to pair and use. Alongside this the tracker is able to transform a 3DoF Headset into 6DoF by detecting the angle and rotation of real world objects enabling a 6DoF Experience.
