Product Information HP Reverb G2 V2
The HP Reverb G2 V2 is a 6DoF PC VR headset, ideal for use in design projects and high-end training. The Reverb G2 has three main advantages:
First, the Reverb G2 V2 has a very high resolution screen with a resolution of 2160 x 2160 per eye. The lenses are designed by Valve and the screen provides nearly double the amount of pixels found in the Oculus Rift S. As a result, the Reverb G2 offers an ultra sharp visual VR experience compared to others in its price range.
Second, the HP Reverb works in combination with a PC and is the first PC VR headset that is compatible with both SteamVR and Windows Mixed Reality. This means the headset has a very wide range of applications and uses available.
Finally, the Reverb G2 uses inside out tracking thanks to four built-in cameras meaning that no external trackers or sensors are needed for room-scale VR. The inside out tracking provides accurate tracking of your movements in any room without additional setup required.
Differences between the HP Reverb G2 V1 and V2
There are 3 main differences between the HP Reverb G2 V1 and V2, they are as follows:
- De V2 has a new cable with a built-in power on/off button and fixes the issue connection to specific Ryzen motherboards
- The V2 has a different face cover whereby you can remove the spacer which can result in a wider field of view for some people.
- The tracking cameras on the HP Reverb G2 V2 have an improved vertical Field of view. This results in a roughly 30% increase in tracking distance before the headsets lose the controllers compared to the V1.
