The Varjo Aero is a high-end PC-VR headset that features an outstanding screen resolution of 2880 x 2720 pixels per eye, 90 Hz refresh rate and eye tracking with foveated rendering. The headset has similar specifications to the Varjo VR-3, but is lighter and significantly cheaper than Varjo’s other headsets. The Aero is ideal for flight and racing simulations, training, 3D design, and any other use case where detail and precision are essential.

First, the Varjo Aero comes standard with the required Varjo Subscription with no annual costs. This gives you access to the latest Varjo Base software updates and the Varjo Workspace. Giving you to access to new features of the headset, improved software compatibility and business support. The Subscription for this product cannot be used with the Varjo VR-3 and XR-3, those headsets only work with their own annual Varjo subscription..
Display of the headset
Second, the Varjo Aero has one of the sharpest displays on the market with a resolution of 2880 x 2720 pixels per eye, which totals to 5760 x 5440. This very high resolution makes the content look super sharp and therefore even more realistic. For comparison the HP Reverb G2 v2 has a resolution of 2160 x 2160 per eye and the HTC Vive pro 2 2448×2448 pixels per eye.
Third, the Varjo Aero offers a high refresh rate of 90 Hz. A high refresh rate means that content can be displayed smoothly and without screen delays. This makes content look more real and the VR experience becomes more pleasant, as motion sickness is prevented.
Tracking capabilities of the Varjo Aero headset
Fourth, the Varjo Aero works with a self-developed eye-tracking system that makes foveated rendering possible. Foveated rendering means that only the focus area is displayed sharply. Thanks to this technology, the GPU can always concentrate fully on displaying the focused image area in the best quality.
Fifth, the Varjo Aero is a Steam VR tracking device. This means that the headset only works with external tracking stations called Lighthouses. Even though this makes the headset less mobile, it offers more accurate tracking.
