Product information Meta Quest Pro
The Meta Quest Pro is a standalone 6DOF VR Headset capable of Mixed Reality and Virtual Reality usage. It is ideally suited for productivity, interactive training, onboarding and simulations.
The Meta Quest Pro has the following key advantages:
Advanced Mixed Reality Capabilities
First, the Meta Quest Pro is one of the leading standalone VR Headsets which is capable of mixed reality. Five external cameras located on the front of the headset provide Full 3D Colour passthrough. 3D Colour passthrough enables 3D overlays to be placed over your physical reality allowing for better-mixed reality interactions and creating a more lifelike mixed reality experience.
The most powerful standalone VR headset
Second, the Meta Quest Pro VR headset features the Snapdragon XR2+ Processor. The XR2+ is an upgraded model of the widely used Snapdragon XR2 processor. The XR2+ processor is 50% more powerful than the XR2 allowing for much higher performance levels compared to other headsets as well as better power management. On top of the increased processing power, the headset also has 12GB RAM, making it the most powerful headset currently in the standalone VR category.
Comfortable and lightweight
Third, the Meta Quest Pro has been built to be comfortable for extended periods of time. The Quest Pro uses innovative pancake lenses making the lenses of the device more than 50% smaller than those of the Meta Quest 2. Along with this, the Quest Pro does not suffer from the front of the device being much heavier than the back. The Quest Pro has excellent weight distribution, which reduces the strain on the front and back of your head. The result of these two innovations is a far better balanced and comfortable VR headset.
High-Quality Display
Fourth, the Meta Quest Pro has a 3664 x 1920 pixel display. This provides a high-quality visual experience while 90 Hz of Refresh Rate keeps any high-intensity visuals smooth. The new Pancake Optics provide 37% more pixels per inch and much better contrast ratios than the previous fresnel lenses found on the Quest 2. The headset can do this because the new lenses use a Mini-LED display which provides vibrant, high-contrast visuals. The headset also has a 106-degree FOV which is an upgrade from the Quest 2 allowing for more to be seen and experienced enhancing immersion in VR.
Industry-Leading Tracking
Fifth, the Quest Pro features 6DoF Inside-Out Tracking including Eye, Face, Hand and Body Tracking. 5 internal cameras provide unparalleled replication of facial expressions in VR experiences while 5 external cameras provide Hand and Body Tracking.
Hand tracking enhances functionality without a controller improving Mixed Reality usage, and allowing the user to have more lifelike simulations
The headset includes several unique Eye Tracking features including automatic IPD adjustment enhancing visual clarity for any user (Including those with glasses) and also foveated rendering. Foveated Rendering tracks what part of the screen your eye can see and specifically focuses on that area reducing the visual quality of others areas of the screen you cannot see helping to reduce the processor usage. This results in increased performance and longer battery life.

With 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM you can run any program or game smoothly. This is double the amount of RAM compared to the Quest 2’s slower RAM.
The headset uses the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2+ which is about 50% more powerful than the Quest 2.
The headset comes with its own charging dock but can also be charged via the USB-C port.
The Meta Quest Pro has a FOV of 106° horizontal by 96° vertical Which is around 10° more than the Quest 2.
The headset comes with 256 GB of storage which is plenty for all use cases.
Yes, video streaming is possible via WiFi 6E, Virtual Desktop and AirLink.
Yes, it comes with Integrated stereo speakers that have been upgraded from the Quest 2. A microphone and dual 3.5mm Audio Jacks are also present on the headset.
The controllers will last you around 8 hours on a full charge. This is quite long for VR controllers but the Quest 2’s controllers will last a lot longer since they are tracked by the headset. The Quest Pro’s controllers track their own position which results in a lower battery life. Yet 8 hours is still impressive.

The headset uses 6 DoF Inside-out via 5 integrated cameras.
The Quest Pro at 722 grams is heavier than the Quest 2 at 503 grams. This is quite heavy but the weight is distributed due to the battery being positioned at the back.
Yes, the Quest pro supports DFR. It is a technology that allows a virtual reality headset to dynamically reduce the picture quality in your peripheral vision. If you’re not directly looking at the left portion of the headset’s display, it makes sense to reduce the number of pixels rendered in this location.
The Quest Pro has two refresh rates to choose from, 75Hz and 90Hz which is fairly normal nowadays.
The Meta Quest Pro boasts a resolution of 1800 x 1920 pixels per eye. This is around the same as the Quest 2 but only uses a single display while the Quest Pro comes with dual displays.
The Quest Pro uses dual LCD panels with a quantum dot layer and local dimming mini-LED backlights that consist of 500 zones. The quantum dots enable a 30% wider color gamut and the Mini-LEDs deliver 75% more contrast.
The headset comes with manual IPD adjustment from 55mm to 75mm.
The Quest Pro makes use of pancake lenses, these are thinner and lighter than the older Fresnel lenses. This leads to more comfort when using the headset for a longer period of time.
