The Challenge
Every software needs the right hardware. In order to be able to offer customers a complete package of software and hardware, OneBonsai was looking for a reliable hardware partner with a diverse product portfolio to serve many different use cases. This is where the company came into contact with VR Expert.
The Solution
Thanks to the cooperation with VR Expert, OneBonsai can now make use of the hardware provider’s variety of VR and AR products, depending on the specific customer and use case.
One example use case is the VR Fire Training. For a client, OneBonsai developed a guided fire training with hand tracking and a custom-built mixed reality fire extinguisher. Finally, the HTC Vive Focus 3 was used for this use case. The headset is standalone and has a very sharp display. In addition, the battery of this device can be replaced, allowing the VR headset to be used for several training sessions in a row without recharging.
A second use case is the VR TracheoCare Training. Here, OneBonsai developed a tracheostomy care training in virtual reality. The training focused on practising the steps of a tracheostomy to prepare nurses to perform the procedure. The Pico Neo 3 Pro was chosen for this purpose. This VR headset is also a standalone device, which is very suitable for VR training for companies due to its open android operating system.
